Everyday podcast listening, where sound meets solid wood

Drawing on years of listening to podcasts, we came up with the idea of a building-block-style phone stand with amplification. This design combines storage with directional sound amplification, keeping your phone from getting misplaced while naturally directing sound without scattering it — improving your listening experience and making it a great companion for podcasts.

Made from Taiwan mahogany by CNC subtractive machining. No power, no Bluetooth — just set your phone in and listen.

A building-block form, with directional amplification

The building-block stand structure naturally directs sound without letting it scatter, concentrating your phone's speaker output. It doubles as a storage stand — place your phone in and it stands steadily on your desk, keeping it from getting misplaced. Great for podcasts or video calls.

At 90 × 60 × 32 mm and 46 g, with a 15 mm slot, it sits beside your monitor or at your bedside without taking up space.

Mahogany, a warm reddish-brown tone

Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) is a precious wood domestic to Taiwan, with a warm reddish-brown tone and a fine, even grain. It's hard and resists warping, with a warm, refined touch and a subtle natural scent. Every piece's grain is one of a kind — nature's most authentic language.

From take-apart blocks to a glued build

The stand was first designed as building blocks you could take apart and reassemble. Prototyping showed the wood at the joints was too thin and the fit came loose, so the production version has each part CNC-machined and then glued together — the block look stays, the structure is sturdier.

After gluing, it is hand-sanded and waxed.

Set it in, and listen

01　Place your phone upright in the slot to amplify the sound.
02　When you want to watch the screen, the phone can also rest sideways on the stand.
03　Without a phone, the slot holds business cards upright, so it doubles as a desk card holder.

Four-step beeswax care

01　Wipe the stand with a lint-free cloth.
02　Apply a small amount of natural beeswax evenly.
03　Let it rest for ten minutes or overnight so the beeswax soaks in.
04　Wipe off excess beeswax with a lint-free cloth.

Q: Does it need power or Bluetooth?
No. The stand is a wooden structure with no power or Bluetooth — set your phone in and it amplifies.

Q: Which phones fit? Can I keep my case on?
The slot is 15 mm wide; any phone up to 15 mm thick, case included, fits.

Q: Can the phone go sideways?
Yes. Amplification works best upright, and the phone can also rest sideways on the stand.

Q: Can it hold business cards?
Yes. The slot holds cards upright, so it works as a card holder on your desk.

Q: Can I take it apart and rebuild it?
No. The building blocks are a design form; the parts are glued together.

Q: When does it ship?
In stock, ships 2–3 business days after you order. Engraving adds 2 business days.

Q: Will the grain match the photos?
Not exactly. Natural wood varies with cutting direction and growth-ring position, so every piece differs in grain and color.

Q: Can you engrave text or a logo?
Yes, by laser engraving, mainly on the front. Choose the Engraving option when ordering (NT$800, including the NT$200 engraving fee); it adds 2 business days. Send us your text or logo on LINE @wkidea.
